BookCollaborative.com, founded by Bradford G. Wheler, publishes books based on the content provided by Artists. The goal is a collaborative community of artists that promote art in general while at the same time having an opportunity to promote their own art. Artists provide digital images of their work along with any information they wish on themselves, the techniques they use, and the origins, and meaning of their art. From this collaborative effort books are compiled and published.
Free
There is no charge to artists to be included in the books. There is no charge to the affinity groups or art associations who have their members’ art included in the books.
How it Works
Artists participate through an affinity group such as a college, university, art association (Midamerica Pastel Society, Central New York Watercolor Society, etc.), or as individual artists in genres books directly with BookCollaborative.com.
Individual artists sign up on BookCollaborative.com's website and then contribute digital images of their artwork and related information directly to BookCollaborative.com by email. Affinity groups can direct their individual members to submit digital images of their artwork to a designated email or compile it and submit it as a body of work.
Ingram (North America’s largest book distributor), and Backer & Taylor, will distribute the books. The books will be available on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com and can be ordered by any bookstore in the US, UK, and Canada for delivery within a few days.
The artists will grant BookCollaborative.com nonexclusive rights to use the digital images of their artwork in its books and related products. See TERMS OF USE for more information.
Affinity groups interested in being considered for a BookCollaborative.com book for their association should send an email expressing their interest to editor@BookCollaborative.com. Individual artists should visit the BookCollaborative.com website for information on genre books.
